This page records the commencement provisions of the principal rules and of the amending rules applied to this compendium. It is a record maintained by the Standards Cell; the operative text of each provision is reproduced from the notification that made it.
Principal rules
Rule 1(2). They shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 2011.

Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Amendment Rules, 2022
Published vide notification G.S.R. 226(E), dated the 28th March, 2022.
Rule 1(2). They shall come into force on the 1st Day of December, 2022.
Notifications moving the commencement date
