What this is

Check a document without asking the office that issued it.

Every document published through Sanchika can carry a code. Scanning it opens a page that names the document, the body that issued it, the date it was published, and the exact version of the text that was published on that date — then compares that text, character for character, against the copy published now.

Check a document now

The document in front of you carries its own verification code — printed as a QR square and a web address. That code names exactly which record you are checking. Scan it, or enter it here; a link to the published order works too.

No code in hand? Browse the issued orders — every published order carries its code at the foot of the page.

What a result proves
  • That this exact code was produced by this server. Codes are signed; one cannot be constructed by guessing, and there is no sequence to walk through.
  • That the document it names was published, at the version it names, and that that version is genuinely in the published history — not an object smuggled in from somewhere else.
  • Whether the copy published today is byte-for-byte the copy the code was issued against. If it is not, the difference is shown in full rather than described.
What it does not prove
  • It is not a digital signature check. No certificate is validated here, and no certifying authority has vouched for anything. The claim is git object identity on this server, which is a different and smaller claim.
  • It says nothing about the paper in your hand. It reports what was published; whether the printout matches it is something you read for yourself, on the document this page links to.
  • It is not a legal opinion. A notification can be genuine, unaltered, and superseded by a later one.
  • There is no integration with Aadhaar, DigiLocker, eSign or any certifying authority, and no screen here imitates one. Delivery of an issued document into a citizen’s locker is described in the design; it is not built, so it is not drawn.
